What you need
- An iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
- An Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later, paired with that iPhone, if you want to record from your wrist.
- Enough free space for your recordings while they wait to be processed.
The App Store listing always carries the current requirements for the build you are about to install, so check it there if you are on an older device.
Installing on your iPhone
- On your iPhone, open Limemo in the App Store.
- Install Limemo and open it.
- Allow microphone access when asked. Without it the app cannot record; you can still import files.
- Sign in so your notes sync and survive a new phone or a reinstall.
Adding the Apple Watch app
The watch app ships with the iPhone app rather than as a separate purchase. Once Limemo is installed on your iPhone, open the Watch app on the phone, find Limemo in the list and install it if it did not install automatically. Add the Limemo watch widget and a recording is one tap away.
A recording made on the watch is kept there until your iPhone and watch are next connected, then it moves across and becomes a full note with a transcript and a summary.
The free trial
Limemo starts with a free trial and then continues as a paid subscription unless you cancel. The block on this page shows the current price, the billing interval, how the renewal works and how to cancel, and the pricing page covers the plans and refunds in full.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple through the App Store, so you cancel in your Apple Account settings rather than in the app: how to cancel your Limemo subscription.
Where Limemo runs
Limemo is an iPhone and Apple Watch app. The recorder is on your wrist and the notes are on your phone — nothing to set up between them. There is no web version.
